SHSP Dance Concert 26/09/11

Cushion concert !

Every Wednesday we have been doing dance leading up for the cushion concert. First the band will be playing and then each class is doing a dance and to finish it off the choir will be doing the sasa, pili pili and Kua mutu.

Class liturgy

Today we had our class liturgy, our theme was 'Celebrating Fathers'.
We chose this theme because it was Fathers day last Sunday.
Last week we wrote about our Dad's in our RE books.
Yesterday we used what we had written about our Dads to make cards that said '3 things I love about my Dad' and '3 things my Dad is good at'.
Today read aloud what we had written on our card. If your Dad was there you gave the card to him after Fr Albano had blessed all the Dads.
Yesterday, to get ready for our Liturgy, we also cleaned up the class and even vacuumed it!!!
The setup of the liturgy was beautiful and we had things that represent our Dads there. We had a beautiful candle. It was a great liturgy!!!

Dance

Every Wednesday so far this term, we have been working on a dance that we will be performing at the concert at the end of the term. Our class will be doing a hip-hop type dance at the concert and every other class at our school will be performing as well. At the last lesson, we had to learn some jazz. Some of us thought it was pretty much just ballet.
